Vehicle Description
A full build by Roadster Shop in 2018. This 1956 Chevy 150 Post is part of their Survivor Series, meaning it is wearing its original interior and genuine patina on its paint. This well documented build was commissioned by legendary hot rod icon George Poteet. In true George Poteet fashion Roadster Shop was given an open checkbook to execute the vision for this period correct gasser build. The backbone for the build was a one off Roadster Shop chassis with extensive CAD drawings and engineering used to ensure the geometry is perfect. Powered by a Casey Wegner built 427 LS7 with a roots style 4.5L Whipple supercharger, a pair of Nick Williams 102mm DBW throttle bodies, and a custom 3d printed intake plenum and inlet this monster makes 1200hp at the flywheel and puts over 900 to the ground through the TH400 transmission with overdrive. The attention to detail in this build is sure to impress even the most seasoned hotrod aficionado. This gasser features an independent front suspension designed to resemble a solid front axel and a four link out back designed to look like a ladder bar set up. This monster is as comfortable driving to the track as it is on the track where you can use the line-lock and trans brake to lay down quarter times that will be the envy of everyone there. There have been a little over 3,000 miles put on the car since its build. With the “Chill Out” machine blowing cold air at you and burning 93 octane pump gas its ready for you to put some more trouble free miles on it. You will bring smiles to everyone when you drive by with the cutoff valves closed and the exhaust exiting through the Borla muffles out back or tears to women and children as you roar by with the electric cutoff valves open and the exhaust exiting through the fender mounted long tube headers.
